Jaime Smith-Evans
Fastpitch InstructorJaime Smith-Evans went to Maria High School in Chicago, graduating in 1995. She was a four year varsity starter and was the starting pitcher her final three years. She earned all conference honors in pitching and was recently inducted into the school's athletic hall of fame. During high school, Jaime played for the Whiteford Sharks, traveled across the country and began giving pitching instruction. After high school, Jaime continued giving instruction with that organization, working for then Depaul Pitching instructor, Leigh Podlesny. After college, Jaime entered law school and was the pitching coach for Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois, for one year. After law school, Jaime went on to coach pitching for Queen of Peace High School with her sister, Erin Smith Lorenz, on both a paid and volunteer basis. During this time, Jaime also gave pitching instruction at Line Drive Academy, located just outside Chicago. Jaime has since moved with her family to La Grange and is looking forward to giving pitching instruction once again.

Semi-Private Lessons
(1-4 students 1 hour in length)
This program gives our students the opportunity to have semi-private lessons with one, two or three students. Many siblings or teammates take of advantage of this format.

Cancellation Policy: Customers must call at least 24 hours prior to scheduled lesson/cage rental or the customer will be charged (or deducted from a pre-purchased package) for that lesson/cage rental.
FASTPITCH PRIVATE LESSONS
Our most valuable tool for delivering championship quality instruction to young athletes is our team of expert instructors. The Bulls/Sox Academy has assembled one of the finest coaching staffs in the country. Our talented team of instructors features former professional players with Major League and Minor League experience as well as some of the best collegiate and high school coaches in the Midwest.
This hand-selected group of men and women will not only be gifted instructors, but will also be people of outstanding character dedicated to teaching the game in a positive and fun atmosphere. This blend of professional and instructional experience enables us to create a balanced and comprehensive curriculum for all of our students. Conduct of our coaches is of the utmost importance; therefore profanity or physical contact in any form will not be tolerated.
In order to maintain the professional standards we insist upon, coaches will be required to participate in an annual process of certification. Our mandatory certification process ensures that our entire staff is well versed in the newest coaching techniques and theories of instruction.
There are a variety of private lesson packages for all ages and skill levels or we can build a package for you. We feel that an evaluation is a very important part of the education process. The best time to fine tune your swing is during the season. However, most young players only take private hitting instruction during the winter. Major League players receive individual instruction throughout the year and especially during the season. You can do the same thing with our “Play Better Now” lesson and cage rental packages. If you’ve never experienced private instruction, now is the perfect time to find out just how helpful one on one instruction can be.
