Meet the Strength and Conditioning Team!
Casey Tiesman, Sports Performance Manager
A native of Morrison, Ill., Tiesman graduated from UND in 2013 with his Master’s in Kinesiology. He began his coaching career while attending the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where he interned under Nick Zostautas and assisted with the coaching of a variety of teams. Casey has also worked with multiple Major League Baseball players and female National Rugby players during his tenure as an intern. Additionally, in his final year at UIC, Casey helped research, analyze, and design a new physical training regimen for the university's military ROTC program. From there, he worked for the University of North Dakota, where he was the Strength & Conditioning coach for the Baseball and Softball teams. During his time he helped the baseball team improve in every facet of their athleticism and mental toughness. The team finished the season with the most wins in their Division 1 era. He also had the opportunity to work with the Football, Basketball, Track and Field, and Swimming programs.
Casey has recently joined the Bulls/Sox Academy staff from previously working with one of the largest private sports performance facilities in the nation, EXOS (Formerly called Athlete’s Performance). Tiesman is certified and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, along with being a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. He also served in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years and was deployed on two tours of duty in Iraq.
Adam Doden, Strength and Conditioning Coach - Glen Ellyn
Adam received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from North Central College in 2013. Prior to attending college, Adam served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years as an infantryman and embassy guard. Since joining the Bulls/Sox Strength and Conditioning team at the beginning of 2014 he has worked with a variety of athletes from all over the suburban area.
Andrew Kouba, Strenth and Conditioning Coach
Andrew graduated from North Central College with a degree in Exercise Science. A former track and field athlete, Andrew has utilized Sports Conditioning throughout his athletic career. Andrew has worked with Division 1 Athletes, Countless Elite Level Athletes in the Chicago Area, and Elite Travel Teams.
Cheryl Smith, Strength & Conditioning Intern
Cheryl will be graduating this June from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She hopes to go on to graduate school to pursue a Master’s in kinesiology. During the first two years of college, Cheryl was a part of the Women’s rowing team, prior to college she participated in softball and basketball.
