Academy Offers "Junior Bulls" Fundraising

03/07/2011 12:26 PM - CHICAGO BULLS TRAINING ACADEMY OFFERS “JUNIOR BULLS” FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY

LISLE, IL. – The Chicago Bulls/White Sox Training Academy is announcing an exciting fundraising opportunity, known as Junior Bulls, for all schools, churches and non-profit organizations looking to raise money with a fun, engaging and athletic method.

The Chicago Bulls Training Academy offers a Junior Bulls basketball skills camp that can be tailored to fit each organization’s needs and help raise critical funds.  The program has a nominal cost with each partner organization receiving a portion of all proceeds.

“Our Junior Bulls fundraising program is a brand new, one-of-a-kind opportunity run in association with the Chicago Bulls,” explains Pete Kelly, Director of Marketing & Sales with the Chicago Bulls/Sox Training Academy.  “The main goal is to help community organizations raise funds for various needs, all the while inspiring greatness in every young athlete we come in contact with regardless of age and experience level.”

The Junior Bulls camp will teach the latest techniques in ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork, rebounding, as well as offensive and defensive team play.  In addition to teaching fundamental basketball skills, professional coaches discuss life lesson topics such as discipline, respect, sportsmanship and peer pressure. The camp’s schedule can be customized by age or grade level and includes a total of six hours of skill training.  Each participant will receive a Junior Bulls t-shirt, a replica autograph photo of a current Chicago Bulls player, and will be entered into a raffle to win autographed merchandise and/or 2012 regular season Bulls tickets (restrictions apply).

“The Bulls/Sox Academy recently put on a basketball skills clinic for our 1st through 3rd graders at our gym.  They sent skilled instructors who were great with the children and the parents raved about the entire experience,” states Tom Scannell, President of the St. John Fisher School Athletic Board.  “We also used it as a fundraiser for the athletic program as a portion of the fee was donated back to our school.  We have already scheduled two more sessions in the spring for our 4th through 8th grade boys and girls.”

The Chicago Bulls/Sox Training Academy opened in 2001 in Lisle, Illinois and runs extensive, fun youth training programs for boys and girls ages five to eighteen in baseball, basketball, fastpitch softball and sports performance. There are additional satellite academies in Glen Ellyn, LaGrange, Tinley Park and Schererville, IN.
