43 WHITE SOX ELITE PLAYERS COMMIT TO PLAY AT THE COLLEGIATE LEVEL

03/07/2018 12:46 PM -

The Bulls/Sox Youth Academy hosted a Signing Day event in Lisle for the 35 current White Sox Elite baseball and fastpitch travel team members that have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their baseball and softball careers at the collegiate level in the fall of 2018. Additionally, 8 White Sox Elite fastpitch players, from the Class of 2019, have verbally committed to college programs across various division levels. During one year, this is the single largest group of players to commit to play at the collegiate level in the history of the White Sox Elite baseball and fast pitch programs.

“I couldn’t be more proud or happier than I am for all our 2018 College Commits. These student-athletes have exceeded my expectations and made my job extremely meaningful”, said Jim Adduci, Director of Elite Baseball. “I know this is a testament to their parents, their commitment and their dedication to move on to the next level in their academic and athletic endeavors. They have meant a great deal to this program and leave behind a legacy for future Elite players to strive for.”

“We are extremely proud that every member of our 18U team will continue their career at the collegiate level”, said Kathy Young, Director of Fastpitch Operations. “I believe each player found the right fit and is sure to make an impact at their respective universities next fall.”
