Fourth-Inning Rally Sparks Win For The White Sox Academy 16U Elite-Fox, 10-4


A six-run explosion in the fourth inning helped the White Sox 16U get the win.

The 16U Elite-Fox scored in the fourth on a two-run single by Zacary Lis, a walk by Joey Allen, a fielder's choice, an RBI triple by Brandt McCartney, and a wild pitch.

Elias Hernandez reached base four times in the game for the White Sox 16U. He tripled in the sixth inning.

Tommy Benson got the win for the 16U Elite-Fox as he tossed two-thirds of an inning of shutout ball. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

The 16U Elite-Fox jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the second. Jimmy Karfis doubled to ignite the offense. They pushed more runs across when Karfis scored on a sacrifice fly by Nico Sanchez and Olszak scored on a groundout by Murphy Juska.

Karfis also pitched three innings of relief giving up one run on five hits and striking out two.


The White Sox Academy 16U Elite-Fox Fall To The White Sox Aces 4-2

One the 16U Elite-Fox run crossed the plate in the bottom half of the second, making the score 2-1. An RBI double by Brandt McCartney helped push the run across.

The White Sox 16U scored one run in the bottom of the fifth to cut their deficit to one. An error gave the White Sox Academy 16U Elite-Fox life.

Zacary Lis went 2-3 with a double and a run scored while Christian Erikson was 1-3 with a double and a run scored.

Nico Sanchez pitched in relief going three innings giving up one run on four hits.


Jose Sanchez's Big Day Not Enough, As The White Sox Academy 16U Elite-Fox Lose 14-6 To Triple Crown Threat

Sanchez went 2-2 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored, but it wasn’t enough to help the White Sox 16U get the win.

Nick Fushi brought the heat against Triple Crown Threat during his outing. Fushi held Triple Crown Threat hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Brandt McCartney was also 2-2 with a triple, walk and a run scored. Gage Olszak also walked twice and scored a run.
