The White Sox Academy Elite 13U fall 8-4 to Algonquin Red Storm to finish Runner-Up in the USSA War on 64 Tournament
In consecutive weekends of tournament play the White Sox Elite 13U team played in a championship Sunday game. Trey Rucker did all he could to give the White Sox Elite 13U a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Algonquin Red Storm, as the White Sox Academy Elite 13U lost 8-4 in seven innings on Sunday finishing with the Runner-Up trophy.
The White Sox Elite 13U squad jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first as Rucker singled before Emmett Olson singled, scoring Rucker. The Bulls/Sox Academy Elite 13U pushed more runs on an RBI single by Alex Calarco.
One run in the top of the third helped the White Sox Elite close their deficit to 5-3. An RBI single by Mason Graham triggered the Bulls/Sox Academy Elite 13U's comeback. But the comeback was to no avail as the Algonquin Red Storm held on and pushed their advantage to an eventual 8-4 victory.

Early boost from Sebastian Cabeza helps the White Sox Elite 13U get past Slammers, 6-2
The White Sox Elite 13U team’s three first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 6-2 win over Slammers on Sunday.
Sebastian Cabeza racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Sox Academy Elite 13U team. He homered in the first inning.
Matt Felske pitched well against Slammers during his outing giving up just one hit, allowing no earned runs, walking none and striking out two during his two innings of work.
The White Sox Elite 13U pushed across one run in both the third inning and the fourth. In the third, the Academy Elite 13U team scored on a sacrifice fly by Cabeza scoring Mason Graham.
The White Sox Academy Elite 13U best #1 Tournament Seed Pro Player 4-3
A wild pitch, bringing home Mason Graham gave the White Sox Academy Elite 13U the lead in the sixth inning, and the Bulls/Sox Academy Elite 13U hung on to beat Pro Player 4-3 on Sunday.
Strong pitching performances by Noah Scnell and Brock Jessup were the key to this victory. Trey Rucker was a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the White Sox Academy Elite 13U. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.
In the bottom of the first, Pro Player grabbed the early lead, 3-0 but the White Sox Elite 13U team chipped away and never trailed after scoring the go ahead run in the sixth.
The White Sox Academy Elite 13U takes early lead for 8-3 victory over Lake County
The White Sox Academy Elite 13U jumped on Lake County early on their way to an 8-3 win on Sunday in seven innings, scoring four runs in the first inning. The White Sox Academy Elite 13U scored in the first on an RBI single by Trey Rucker an RBI double by Emmett Olson, and an RBI single by Alex Calarco.
Mason Graham reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning.
Lake County couldn't get anything going as long as Brock Jessup was pitching. Lake County managed just one hit off of Jessup, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his three innings of work.
The White Sox Elite 13U got one-run rallies in the third inning and the sixth. In the third, the White Sox Academy Elite 13U scored on a sacrifice fly by Graham bringing home Tylor Phommachanhom.
After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the sixth, Lake County faced just a 6-3 deficit. However, the White Sox Elite 13U team built upon their lead with two runs in the seventh. A single by Jay Randle ignited the offense scoring Adam Dowler. That was followed up with a steal of home by Noah Schnell.
