On the weekend of September 25, the White Sox Fastpitch 16U CW Travel Team competed in their first 5-game format and tournament of the season – The Indy Dream Best of the Best Showcase. Rival teams included the Indy Crush, Illinois Southern Express, Louisville Lady Sluggers, Indiana Sizzle, and the ECI Dynamite. Sydney Benz and Juliann Rurka shined with back-to-back homeruns against the Sizzle, while Kelsey Dominguez grand slammed over the fence to put her team up 5-2 against the ECI Dynamite. This was Kelsey’s first homerun of the season. The Sox took 4-1 this Showcase. Keep up the hard-work girls!!
