Daryl Thomas

Lead Instructor, Player Development

Daryl Thomas played basketball at the legendary St. Joseph High School (Westchester), under the tutelage of Hall of Fame coach Gene Pingatore, from 1979-1983. Coach Thomas then went on to attend Indiana University where he played for another Hall of Fame coach, Bobby Knight. While at Indiana University, Coach Thomas was a three year starter and a two year co-captain, culminating his career with a pass to Keith Smart for the winning basket and the 1987 N.C.A.A. National Championship. He was drafted by the Sacramento Kings but later went on to play 13 years professionally in Europe and South America. Some of Coach Thomas’ individual basketball accomplishments include:

• McDonald’s High School All-American 1983
• East Suburban Catholic Conference Hall of Fame Inductee 2006

• 1st Team All-Big Ten 1987
• Numerous Honors and Awards from his European and South American Career
